We've decided to continue making it in Europe, and we have to say it's shaking up the splitboard world with its versatility et maneuverability. Ski rando mag made it its favorite splitboard. If you ask Jean Louis St Arneault, he won't tell you otherwise. He developed it et made no mistake. If Jean Louis rides this splitboard, you can trust him. He takes it everywhere around the mythical spot of La Grave in steep et snow-filled terrain. He decided to make it an all-mountain splitboard with a 3 cm set back on the rear foot. It's an all-purpose splitboard that does wonderfully well in powder. The legalize features floorboard technology for greater rigidity et eliminates vertical play between the skis. It's the little extra in our splitboard series.
For a change, we called on Roberto Ciredz, whose art speaks to us a lot. He's able to transcribe the lines of nature into drawings, and this lends itself well to a board. The Legalize's construction is solid, the top sheet has a biaxial fiber to give this split a playful feel, and as is often the case, we mixed poplar with paulownia to create a playful core. To bind the whole to the base, we used bio-sourced resin, as we try to limit breakage as much as possible by manufacturing as close to France as possible, but also by limiting our impact on nature. We gave it a flex of 8/10, as it's important to have rigidity on this kind of split. A splitboard is divided into 2 skis; if they're too soft, you risk breaking them, but also having a less efficient ascent. Not so with the Legalize. This almost all-black split is fitted with an IS7200 sintered base for easy repair, which is hard and shock-resistant. The fewer the cuts et the blacker the base, the better the glide.
The Legalize is supplied with Stone plastic clips et aluminum hooks in the splitboard color codes. A scraper bottle opener is also supplied as standard, allowing you to remove snow residue from between the skis, as well as open a nice cold beer at the summit after your ride. The Legalize has holes in the nose and tail for the nipples of our custom-made Stone sealskins. You can put together a pack with skins, poles, knives et bindings directly in our splitboard pack section.
