Description

Gronze is a Barcelona-based crew led by world-renowned skateboarder Max Geronzi. Our association made sense: Stone loves skateboarding, Gronze loves snowboarding! We had to do it, it's so rarely done that we had to tick the box. Another dream come true, and now it's done.

It's a pure twin tip freestyle board. Powder isn't really its thing, you can do a bit of that, but what this board loves most is rails, jumps on snowparks and piste. You don't want to take yourself seriously & act like an idiot? This is the Gronze for you. Switch or normal, you'll be able to rock it! It's a board for all types of riders, beginners and advanced alike. The Team's Oscar ney has decided to ride only this one - check out his video below.

The Gronze has a slightly softer flex than La Message & the Gonzo, a little 6/10 for families who really want to play in the park & have fun without getting tired. It's a little softer on the tip & that's all you need for this kind of board. No headaches, just fun. The base is IS 7200 sintered for optimum glide. It's the sole we use most at Stone because it's the best for this kind of board. Its top sheet is made of biaxial fiber, which we love: by scraping the core, we offer a little flexibility on the tips without losing quality or durability. The board comes factory-waxed.

Terrain: Freestyle all mountain.

Construction: Biax fiber is used on the topsheet. The core is a light poplar core.

HARDENER 6012

Hardener 6012 is a light brown liquid that is a mixture of polyaminoamide and aliphatic amines, produced with up to 65% carbon of plant origin content which has been confirmed by an independent radiocarbon laboratory in AMS tests in accordance with ASTM D6866. The final bio-based carbon content will depend on the both component ratio and in case of SYSTEM 6012 it is 22%.

What is meant by flex?

It's the way a board tends to flex. At Stone we rate it from 0 to 10. The stiffer a board is the more it is destined to send & less forgiving. On the other hand, the softer a board is, the less reactive it will be in relaunching but will forgive you some mistakes. The softer a board is at the beginning, the more it will become a real uncooked sausage during the sessions. At Stone we consider that riding a board that is a bit stiff at the beginning is really optimal. Why? The core of a board is always built up over the days, weeks, months that you ride it. At Stone, a Flex 7 is considered a good alternative to go anywhere. We will then gravitate between the 6 & the 8 to lean more or less towards a particular desire as for the flex.

Flex 6: board a little soft, small sizes will have fun riding these boards. The biggest will have a board ultra playful underfoot. A flex 6 on a freestyle snowboard allows you to do shred, freestyle in the park & edge of piste. On a freeride snowboard, this flex allows you to float in the powder & not suffer from the back leg. On a splitboard, it's fun without the headache.

FREESTYLE

Whether you start young or old, we all want to make jumps. Snowboarding is fun, it's rock n' roll. This sport is the antithesis of skiing. The goal of every snowboarder is to get over any terrain & jump. Everyone in his own way knows how to jump, small or big jumps. Passing in a snowpark & sliding on a handrail. The most important thing is to have fun doing it. A freestyle snowboard is centered on its inserts. Twin tip. With a twin tip snowboard you will be able to go everywhere with a preference for the snowpark & the piste. Generally more flexible, you will be able to handle your snowboard without any physical pain. You will be able to freeride, obviously it will not be the absolute weapon to make big slope & big powder. With your feet centered, your legs will get hot! Don't worry, you'll get to the bottom and back up. As you can see, this kind of board is more suited to classic snowboarding, if you want to push it, you will have to add other types of boards to your quiver. The good thing is that we offer all the types of snowboards a rider can look for.

PARK

A park board is an easy board, which can handle a lot of slides & allows you to bend many times without flinching on your landing jumps. You'll be able to go anywhere, feel comfortable on many terrains. However, a park board will not allow you to ride with ease in very powdery & steep areas. For this it is better to have the right board. You will get there but it won't be optimal, just like if you took a freeride board to do freestyle. Generally softer than other boards & twin tip (centered on the inserts), the freestyle board is easy to ride. That's the key word for this board.
