Once you've found your ideal board, there's still the question of size. To determine what size splitboard you should choose, you need to take into account your height, your weight (with your equipment) and your shoe size.
Depending on your height, we recommend a board that reaches your chin. To do this, take 15 to 20 cm off your waist and you'll find the size of your board.
The rider's weight is also important when choosing a splitboard. But remember, when you practice, you're equipped: outfit, boots, bindings, bag and equipment are all important. And the heavier you are, the bigger the size of your splitboard, and conversely, the lighter you are, the smaller the size of your splitboard. So you'll need to add or subtract 2 or 3 cm from the board size you've already defined.
Finally, it's important to consider your shoe size when choosing your splitboard. As well as determining the size of your bindings, it will also determine the width of your splitboard. If you choose a splitboard that's too small for your size, you run the risk of catching your toes or heels in the snow when you take deep turns. On the other hand, if the board is too big, you'll lack maneuverability and have trouble controlling transitions between turns.
Choosing the right size for a splitboard, like a snowboard, is essential, because it's what will give you the best gliding comfort, board handling and balance when taking off at speed.
