How to choose a freestyle snowboard ?

What are the characteristics of a freestyle snowboard ?

It is a snowboard generally centered on its inserts, twintip. The nose and tail are the same length. It is with this board that we practice the best jumps on the edge of the slope & on a snowpark. The flexibility of this board is often more flexible than other boards. This board will suit beginners, intermediates and experts.

What size freestyle snowboard ?

Choosing the size of your freestyle snowboard is essential, in case your snowboard would be too long, it would be more complicated to do rotations and tricks. If your board is too short, you will lose stability and comfort when jumping. So you have to find the right balance according to your height, weight, and your type of freestyle practice. Your freestyle snowboard should be short enough, between 20 and 25 cm less than your height.

Why choose an all mountain freestyle snowboard ?

If your practice involves freestyle, but also piste, an all mountain freestyle snowboard will be the most suitable. It will allow you to go from snowparks, to groomed slopes and even to the edges of the slopes. However, it remains a board most adapted to freestyle.

Why choose a freestyle only snowboard ?

If you are a more than experienced rider, if you can afford to have several snowboards for each of your practices, then an exclusively freestyle board will be the most suitable.
